Can you introduce yourself ?
My name is Maud alias @petit_gout.
I spent my childhood trying various and varied sports: classical dance, modern jazz, boxing, judo, tennis, swimming, then fitness lessons in the room ... without ever developing great passion. It was not until 2014 that I was challenged to run an official 10 km, that I discovered a passion for surpassing oneself, the atmosphere of the race, the adrenaline of line arrival ...
I then climbed the ladder, without ever following a specific training. 10km, 20km, half-marathon, until my first marathon in 2017. Following which I got a good return from a medal: OK I made a marathon ... And now? My life has not changed, I thought it would be more difficult, I don't feel better, no stronger. A big blow of blues. This is where the same person 2014 launched a new challenge to me: Paris Triathlon in 2 months?!
Never has bicycle - apart from RPM lessons in the gym, not swam for 7 years.
2 months, it gives time to train.
And it was at the end of this Paris triathlon in June 2017, that I discovered something incredible. Triathlon. These 3 sports, one after the other. I really felt like I did something incredible that I wanted to start again, again and again.
Like, that's how it is, in July 2019, I find myself Ironman. 9 months of preparation, crying, doubts, questioning. But to finally have stars in your eyes, a steel mind, memories full of heads.
I became that day, a new woman.
What is your record?
It’s not necessarily a record for some. But for me, the most important thing is to challenge yourself. Give yourself objectives according to its abilities and desires.
For me, the important thing is to succeed in reconciling: work, social life, couple life, family, and sport. And finally, I succeeded, and my biggest pride are:
- Ironman - 12:21 p.m.
- 10km - 42mins43s
- 21km - 1h32
- And also to have finished an ultra -trail without training of 80km - 4500m D+ in 16h
Why did you choose Tā as a nutrition partner?
Why choose products not good when you can have access to perfection?
You undoubtedly have the best electrolytes on the market.
What is your favorite product?
Electrolytes, Especially the Wild Berries taste
Tell us a funny/quirky fact on you?
I started triathlon on a whim.
The day after my first marathon - Paris April 2017, which I did without specific training - I had a blues. I thought this race was really going to be a crazy completion. That I was going to be proud, and be a new person. But finally, I did it in less than 4 hours as expected, and the next day I felt like I did something exceptional.
So with my boyfriend, we decided to do the Paris triathlon in June of the same year. I had never bike, and hadn't swam for 7 years.
Then by the way, we made the bet to register for an ultra trail 80km - 4500 D+ in July of the same year.
I was won over by triathlon, on the other hand, trail, I have bizarrely never started again!
Worse habit?
Plan everything in advance. To finally change everything at the last minute, because in fact, I don't want to force myself to do things that I don't want to do at the time.
Favorite food after the race?
Roti + ratatouille chicken
Tradition & Saint Nectaire wand
Flan
And I am the happy.
Favorite singer/group?
What if I tell you that little snack listens to small cookie?
More seriously, I don't have a particular crush. Generally I like some music by each artist, and others I don't like.
A song that gives me chills is: Red Dwarf from Terry Devine-King.
Favorite movie / series?
Asterix and Obelix Mission Cleopatra in film
Sex and the city in series. Clearly, great and without taboos !!
If you weren't you, would you be?
I would be a mix ...
I would have the level of @lucycharles in triathlon
With the physique of@Alicasmd which is a hottie & machine in athletics
The patience of the Dalai Lama
The genius of Bill Gates
And as a bonus, I would cook as well as Pierre Gagnaire
What is the race you want to win one day?
My dream was to take my revenge on the Ironman half of Aix en Provence in 2020 (I abandoned this race in 2018 because of the climatic conditions -> hypothermia at km 80 of the bicycle on 90km). For Recover a qualification for the World Ironman World Championships in New Zealand in 2020.
But #CavidOBOBY everything fell into the water ... We will see what 2022 will offer me as opportunities.
